Baptisms

We would love to celebrate the baptism of you or your child. Please email meghan@stjohnschicago.com to discuss dates and preparation for baptism.

Weddings

Couples who desire to strengthen their relationship by making a public commitment are welcome to do that at St. John’s. An Episcopal ceremony of marriage is offered to couples when one person is a baptized Christian and the couple understands marriage as “the union of two persons in heart, body, and mind, intended by God for their mutual joy.”

Couples should attend St. John’s at least three times, and contact the priest at least six months before the intended date. Marriage preparation sessions are required. St. John’s joyfully celebrates the marriage of couples of all genders.

Funerals

Funeral or memorial services are offered to anyone seeking a public remembrance for family or friends. Please contact the priest as soon as possible to make arrangements.
