Given the proximity to Halloween, Formation Sunday for October will include a conversation about Hell, specifically what tradition and scripture have to say about it. Please excuse our mess!

St. John’s exterior waterproofing project is scheduled to begin October 13 and last two weeks. Our church grounds may fill with equipment and displaced soil so the garden may be temporarily closed off at times.

During this project, St. John’s is open for all usual worship services, events, community meetings and music lessons. If the Byron Street doors are blocked, the front doors of the church will be accessible.

The Free Fridge and Pantry will be temporarily relocated to an area in front of the garage during work and is planned to move back to the fenced in area (though not its original location) once the work is complete.

Stock the Shelves Sunday

Every second Sunday, we bless an offering of food that helps to stock the shelves of our free fridge and pantry, currently housed at the back of the church. Neighbors experiencing food insecurity have 24-hour access to the fridge and pantry, no questions asked. Donations are needed all week long, and this month the most requested items include milk (dairy, nondairy, evaporated or powdered), yogurt, cheese, protein shake packs, deli or cured meats, canned chicken, tuna, fish, beans, and raw meats (date and place in the freezer).
